Let it Rain No. II

“Let it Rain No. II” is a mixed media painting created with rice paper, acrylic paint, and oil paint. The surface is highly textured and is comprised of both soft and bold marks. One of my favorite things about this piece the raised paint marks that can be felt throughout the entire piece. “Let it Rain No. II” is reminiscent of past decisions that have shaped our current lives and letting go of the past. When I see this piece, I am reminded that despite the fear and uncertainty storms may bring, rain brings forth incredible growth and beauty.
