“October” is a tribute Autumn’s russet foliage, crisp air, the vermilion leaves that swirl at our feet, and the final goodbye Summer’s golden haze. More so than other pieces, “October” is extremely poetic. The piece is not only a window, a split second of emotion frozen in time, but is a visual manifestation of a poem. Each brush stroke has a rhythm, a purpose, and a beat.
There are so many fall lovers out there – I am not one of them. I agree that the colors of fall are nothing short of exquisite, but the loss of summer typically overshadows those brilliant colors for me. September and February have always been the toughest months for me. I have yet to make a piece about the memories and experiences attached to either of those months, however October is next in line. “October” celebrates the richness of the season while taking into account the losses that make the beauty of Fall possible.
A highly detailed and saturated oil painting, “October” measures 30″ x 40″.
